A problem occurred while downloading the software. What should I do?

If you are not able to download the software you require from our download area, we will send you the software by email. Simply email us at support@fellinger.biz and we will deal with your request as soon as possible.

How can I upgrade to the latest version?

If the new version has the same main version number as your registered version (1.0, 1.1, 1.2, ...), you can upgrade free of charge. You can upgrade in two different ways.

  • AutoUpdate
    Select the mail2disk Update... option from the mail2disk menu. Any new files that are available will be downloaded from our update server. You will then be prompted to close Outlook to start the installation. When you close Outlook, a small window will open which will show the installation status. This can take up to one minute on some systems, as Outlook often continues to run even when the Outlook window is closed. If you are unsure, open the Task Manager and check whether there is still an Outlook process running. You will be notified when the installation has finished. If you are not prompted to restart your system, you can continue working.
  • Download
    If you want to install the new version from scratch, you can download the latest version from our download area. Before you install the new version, you must first uninstall your current version. You can then install the new software. You do not need to re-register the software.

I have lost my licence key. What should I do?

Fill in the support form We will then send the licence key to the email address you gave us when you purchased the software. Please enter the order number or the invoice number.

I have received my licence key but I can't open it. What should I do?

You do not need to open the licence file to register your product.

  • Select the Register Product ... option from the mail2disk menu in the toolbar or click on the Register software now... button in the information window that appears when you open the Options dialog during the evaluation period.
  • Agree to the licence agreement in the next window and click on Next.
  • In the next window, click on Enter licence key and browse to the licence key file. The key will then be checked. If the key is accepted, the name of the person to whom the product was registered, the product version and the product ID will be displayed automatically in the appropriate fields.
  • Complete the process by clicking on OK.

I have archived some emails with mail2disk. Can I import them back into Outlook?

Yes. To do so, select the message file(s) you want to re-import in Windows Explorer and drag them into the appropriate Outlook folder holding the left mouse button down. However, you will only be able to use all of the message functions (Reply, Forward, etc.) in files you archived in Outlook message format.

I want to burn emails to CD but the burning dialog box does not appear. Why not?

Check that your CD/DVD drive is enabled for CD recording.
Open Windows Explorer, right click on the CD/DVD drive and then select Properties Click on the Recording tab and make sure Enable CD recording on this drive is checked.

How do I uninstall mail2disk?

Open the Control Panel. Select Add or Remove Software. Scroll to mail2disk in the window that opens and click Remove.

How do I get information on upgrades and other topics by email?
